It takes village to provide good care and we live in a supportive community.

THANK YOU TO ALL THE NEIGHBORS THAT MADE THE

2ND ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE ANOTHER HUGE SUCCESS!

Thanks to the generosity of the Woodlands and Limeridge Neighborhoods, 593 pounds of food was recently collected. Your donations will brighten many faces. Andrea Bern with Summit Funding and I are very appreciative of your continued support of the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano and those in need in our communities!

The mission of the food bank is to alleviate hunger and provide an efficient, coordinated system for collecting and distributing food that reduces waste and increases public awareness regarding hunger and food security issues in Contra Costa and Solano counties.

How does your donation help? Suzie and Tommy are part of a wonderful family. But, with only Dad working and Mom taking care of the children, there is usually not enough food to last through the month. The choices become difficult because the rent and utilities take a large part of the family paycheck. Fortunately, the family visits a local food pantry and receives additional nutritious food which is provided by the Food Bank.

The Food Bank serves 132,000 people each month and distributes over 46,000 pounds of food every working day! Together, the food we collected helps make this possible. Those that receive your donated food, whether they are children, seniors, low-income or just hungry, gratefully appreciate your kindness in thinking of them. Again, THANK YOU for supporting those in need!

All the best to you and yours, Dayna Wilson

Today, May 12, 2011 our local office is participating in the 3rd annual Keller Williams Realty R.E.D. (Renew, Energize and Donate) Day. All of our associates in the US and Canada will donate one day to projects related to renewing and energizing their local communities. Our office and its associates will be participating on this day by giving an “extreme home makeover” at one of Youth Homes, Inc.’s residence and are looking to you as a member of our community for assistance.

Youth Homes, Inc is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to serving the needs of abused and neglected foster children and adolescents in California’s San Francisco Bay Area. They provide intensive residential treatment programs and community-based counseling services that promote the healing process for seriously emotionally abused and traumatized children and adolescents. In 2010, Youth Homes, Inc. touched the lives of over 600 children and their families.

We would like to provide you with the opportunity to show your support for our community as well as our initiative. Through your generous donations, you will be providing the supplies needed (fixtures, appliances, paint, etc.,) to complete this much needed “extreme home makeover” for the foster children living here. Please make checks payable to Youth Homes, Inc. and mark on your check registration that it is a tax write-off! Our event will take place at The Anderson House in Concord. We would love for you to become a donor!

We are very excited about the Keller Williams Realty RED Day initiative and are confident that the success of this program will not only strengthen Keller Williams Realty and its culture across the nation, but also encourage others to donate their time for the benefit of our community!

Remember to Give where you Live!

Dayna
